Welcome to The Active Ham
This site exists as a public service to the Amateur community. Topics span a wide range; covering such things as APRS, Google Maps, emergency communications, programming, and Winlink 2000 to name just a few. Topics don't necessarily have to be related to Amateur Radio, but they usually are. I tend to put things here that interest me, but am not opposed to other topics - feel free to make suggestions.
There are an assortment of programs in the Downloads section and also a few articles in in the Articles section. If you wish to contribute an article, please use the Contact link (to the left) to let me know what you have in mind.
Do you use APRS? If so, you can now send and receive regular email (milti-line) right from your APRS software or APRS enabled radio. APRSLink is a free service that provides a gateway between APRS and the Winlink 2000 email system. Check out APRSLink at http://www.winlink.org/aprslink.htm.
